Job descriptionDevelop and execute programs that connect current students with alumni for mentoring, career pathways, and industry exposure. Support student clubs and faculties in inviting alumni for workshops, lectures, and skill sessions. Maintain communication channels including email newsletters, WhatsApp groups, LinkedIn pages, and the alumni portal. Create engaging content to highlight alumni achievements, university news, and success stories. Respond promptly and professionally to alumni and student queries. Plan, coordinate, and execute alumni meets, virtual interactions, industry sessions, and special events. Manage logistics, invitations, registrations, and on-ground coordination. Maintain updated alumni records and reports through the alumni management system. Track engagement metrics and share monthly / quarterly updates with the Director – Global Engagement. Work closely with schools, faculty coordinators, placement teams, and administrative units for seamless execution of initiatives. Support fundraising, partnerships, and global engagement activities where alumni involvement is key. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. 1–3 years of experience in alumni relations, student affairs, event management, communication, or community engagement. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English & Hindi essential). Experience in managing events, stakeholder relationships, or social-media communities. People-first attitude – enjoys meeting, connecting, and supporting others. Community builder – passionate about working with students and alumni. Highly organized – able to manage events, communication, and data efficiently. Positive energy & initiative – self-driven, proactive, and committed to creating impact. Tech-friendly – comfortable with LinkedIn, CRM tools, and basic data handling.
SSPU is seeking a dynamic and people-oriented Alumni Coordinator who is passionate about building strong alumni communities and fostering meaningful engagement between alumni, students, and the university. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in alumni relations or student engagement, excellent interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for networking, community building, and supporting young professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Alumni Engagement & Relationship Building
- Maintain and grow strong relationships with SSPU alumni across programs and graduation years.
- Coordinate alumni networking events, reunions, mentorship sessions, and special initiatives.
- Create opportunities for alumni to contribute through talks, career guidance, internships, and collaborations.
