Inviting applications for the role of Manager, Network Operations & Engineering
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network SME with a deep understanding of end-to-end network architecture and its critical role in supporting complex workloads such as Cloud-based Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and SaaS-based contact centers. The ideal candidate will be an expert troubleshooter who not only understands how the network operates, but how it is experienced by applications and users-bridging the gap between infrastructure and service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex network performance and connectivity issues impacting mission-critical workloads, including Cloud VDI, VoIP, and SaaS-based applications.
- Analyze and interpret traffic patterns and end-user experience across hybrid and multi-cloud environments to identify and remediate bottlenecks.
Partner with application, cloud, and infrastructure teams to model workload behavior over the network and proactively improve performance and resiliency.
Design and validate network solutions that meet the unique demands of latency-sensitive and bandwidth-intensive services (e.g., contact center telephony, video, remote desktops).Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and incident resolution for high-impact outages, degradations, and recurring anomalies.Develop and maintain detailed documentation of network architectures, dependencies, and performance baselines.Leverage modern observability tools (e.g., packet captures, NetFlow, synthetic testing, SD-WAN analytics) to monitor and tune network performance.Stay current with evolving technologies (e.g., SASE, ZTNA, SD-WAN, 5G, cloud-native networking) and evaluate their applicability to enterprise use cases.Qualifications / SkillsetMinimum qualifications :
Relevant years of experience in enterprise networking with a focus on troubleshooting and performance engineering.Expert-level knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, and load balancing across WAN, LAN, and Cloud environments.Proven experience supporting and optimizing Cloud VDI platforms (e.g., Citrix, VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop) and SaaS contact center platforms (e.g., Genesys Cloud, NICE CXone, Amazon Connect).Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, QoS, SIP / RTP).Familiarity with cloud networking concepts in AWS, Azure, or GCP, including hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute).Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, ThousandEyes, AppNeta, or similar.Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications :
Relevant certifications such as CCNP / CCIE, AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or equivalent.Experience in Zero Trust and SASE architectures.Background in network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).Why join Genpact?
