Role Overview :
The EB Placement Manager will be responsible for managing the placement of Employee Benefits programs such as Group Health Insurance (GHI), Group Term Life (GTL), Group Personal Accident (GPA), with insurers.
The role requires strong market knowledge, analytical skills and negotiation abilities to ensure optimal terms, competitive pricing and compliance with client requirements. The role also involves developing strong insurer relationships and supporting sales and servicing teams with placement expertise.
Key Responsibilities :
Placement & Negotiation :
- Manage end-to-end placement of Employee Benefits policies including GHI, GTL, GPA, and wellness programs.
- Prepare underwriting decks, seek quotations, and negotiate with insurers for competitive pricing and enhanced coverage.
- Evaluate and compare insurer proposals, prepare negotiation matrices, and finalize terms in line with client needs.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and company compliance requirements in all placement activities.
Market Engagement :
Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance companies, TPAs, and wellness partners.Stay updated on market trends, new products, pricing changes, and regulatory updates impacting EB.Develop preferred insurer tie-ups and leverage relationships to secure favorable outcomes for clients.Support to Sales & Servicing Teams :
Work closely with Corporate Sales, Account Management, and Servicing teams to design tailor-made solutions.Assist in pre-sales activities by providing technical inputs and placement strategies.Provide support during client meetings, renewals, and presentations, as required.Data Analysis & Reporting :
Analyze claims data, utilization trends, and underwriting patterns to strengthen placement negotiations.Prepare placement reports, benchmarking studies, and market intelligence updates for internal and client use.Process & Compliance :
Ensure timely renewal placement, documentation, and handover to servicing teams.Maintain accurate placement records, negotiation trails, and regulatory documentation.Contribute to internal process improvements and standardization of placement practices.Qualifications & Experience :
Graduate / Post Graduate (MBA / PGDM preferred).Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Employee Benefits placement in insurance broking, insurance or TPA.Sound understanding of underwriting practices, claims and EB market dynamics.
