About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Real Estate Lawyer to join our legal team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in real estate transactions, title verification, drafting, and stakeholder coordination. Fluency in both Kannada and English is essential for effectively handling property documentation and liaising with local authorities and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive Title Due Diligence for various types of real estate assets, including residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural properties.
- Review and analyze land records, revenue documents, encumbrance certificates, and other statutory records.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents , such as :
- Sale Deeds
- Lease Deeds
- Joint Development Agreements (JDAs)
- Power of Attorneys
- Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs)
- Construction and development-related contracts
- Provide legal opinions and risk assessments related to property transactions.
- Coordinate with clients, external counsel, statutory authorities, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth execution of transactions.
- Stay updated with local real estate laws, regulatory developments, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
LL.B. or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.2–5 years of relevant experience in real estate law, preferably in a Tier 1 law firm or reputed legal practice.Strong understanding of Karnataka land laws, RERA, stamp and registration laws, and other regulatory frameworks.Strong proficiency in Kannada and English (reading, writing, and spoken).Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple transactions and deliver within timelines.Preferred Attributes
Experience working with developers, investors, financial institutions, or corporate real estate teams.Detail-oriented with strong research and documentation skills.Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
