jewellery designer creates original jewellery concepts by sketching designs and using CAD software, selecting metals and gemstones, and overseeing the production process from prototype to finished piece. Key responsibilities include collaborating with clients on custom pieces, staying current with design trends, managing projects and deadlines, and ensuring quality and durability standards are met for both mass-produced and bespoke items.

Key Responsibilities

Design Creation : Conceptualize and create detailed sketches, renderings, and CAD models for jewelry pieces.

Material Selection : Choose and assess appropriate materials, including precious metals, gemstones, and other components, ensuring their quality and suitability for the design.

Client Collaboration : Work with clients to understand their needs and vision for custom jewelry, incorporating feedback into the design process.

Production Oversight : Guide and collaborate with craftsmen and manufacturers throughout the production process, ensuring designs are accurately translated into physical pieces.

Trend Research : Stay informed about current jewelry design trends, market innovations, and emerging styles to create relevant and fashionable pieces.

Quality Control : Ensure that all finished pieces meet high standards for quality, durability, and safety.

Project Management : Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with suppliers and artisans to meet deadlines.

Essential Skills

Creativity & Artistic Ability : A strong foundation in art and design to generate innovative and appealing jewelry concepts.
