Responsibilities

This position is within Oaktree's Fund Accounting & Operations Shared Services team, which works across all of Oaktree's fund accounting teams to centralize and streamline fund data. Shared Services works in partnership with several other sub-departments to deliver standardized fund data, so strong communication and collaboration skills are critical to success in this position.

The analyst will assist with several initiatives to improve the implementation and maintenance of standardized processes and best practices over financial and non-financial information across Oaktree's CFO organization. This includes preparing and aggregating quarterly fund data deliverables for various departments within Oaktree and its parent company, coordinating fund accounting support for the SOX / SOC-1 control audits, assisting with auditor independence and coordination of the funds' financial statement audits, participating in vendor oversight processes, help coordinate accounting-related responses to due diligence questions and client requests across several fund accounting strategies and contributing to ad hoc projects and process improvement testing as needed.

Responsibilities include :

• Collaborate with the Shared Services team and other sub-departments to communicate fund data across the organization and serve as a central point of contact to address related questions and requests from internal and external stakeholders.
• Aggregate, provide and analyze fund level data. This includes providing data to corporate accounting, corporate finance, other Oaktree departments, and Oaktree's parent company. Appropriate communication with Shared Services team members and other CFO Organization departments is critical in ensuring the data provided is accurate and sent timely.
• Serve as a key contact for the Internal Controls Group to provide support for their fund SOX / SOC-1 control testing. This will include responsibility for providing responses to testing requests and ensuring support is provided timely.
• Assist on the auditor independence process and financial statement audit, specifically the Luxembourg and Japan audits, by providing relevant support, contributing to enhancement of processes, and communicating effectively to auditors and fund accountants.
• Assist on investor performance requests from the Client Services team and Marketing representatives (i.e., investor-level management and incentive fee calculations, capital activities, preferred return calculations, waterfall schedules, additional payment calculations, special fee distributions and relationship summaries)
• Participate in ad hoc projects and analysis as needed.
