Description

The Surgery Coder / QA will be responsible for accurately coding surgical procedures and performing quality assurance checks on coded data to ensure compliance with coding standards and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of surgical terminology and coding guidelines, along with the ability to analyze medical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze surgical documentation to ensure accurate coding and compliance with coding guidelines.
• Perform quality assurance checks on coded data to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to clarify any discrepancies in documentation.
• Stay updated on the latest coding regulations, guidelines, and procedures related to surgery.
• Provide training and support to junior coders and staff as needed.
• Prepare reports on coding audits and quality assurance findings.
