ETL Tester - qTest

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for ETL and data validation processes.
• Perform database testing to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness across ETL workflows.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using frameworks such as TestNG, Selenium, and SoapUI.
• Integrate automated tests into CI / CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and continuous quality validation.
• Utilize qTest or similar test management tools to document test cases, execution results, and defects.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts in an Agile environment to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Identify, log, and track defects; participate in triage meetings and work towards resolution.
• Monitor code quality, unit test coverage, and security vulnerabilities.
• Leverage Databricks or Azure cloud platforms for data processing and Skills & Qualifications :
• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with a focus on database and ETL testing.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing.
• Strong SQL expertise (minimum 3 years) and excellent analytical / problem-solving skills.
• Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, Selenium, or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with CI / CD processes and integration of automated tests.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies Databricks or Azure preferred.
• Experience with at least one programming / scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or Shell).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong collaboration Skills :
• Knowledge of ETL tools and data pipeline concepts.
• Exposure to data warehousing and big data environments.
• Experience using test management tools such as qTest, Jira, or Zephyr.
• Understanding of software development best practices and QA metrics.
