Job Description

• Ensure BUPA testing standards and processes has been followed throughout the delivery of the project
• Advocate and implement approved quality testing practices, demonstrate that the software application meets the Business & Functional requirements and is fit for purpose
• Worked closely with Project and teams to define, execute, document, and maintain project deliverables, as per Bupa testing standards and processes.
• Lead the multiple projects, QA testers and test analysts, manage end to end testing delivery.
• Implements and executes automation first strategy.
• Ensure quality across phases like SIT, UAT and Regression.
• Initiate UAT kick-off meetings, and manage UAT progress and acquires UAT signoff from stakeholders
• Provide input to the Test Manager on the estimation of various testing activities
• Liaise with Business Analysts, Developers, and SMEs to understand the requirements / user stories and identify gaps very early on in the Software Development Lifecycle, and thus, adding value

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• Familiarity with QA methodologies and tools (, Selenium, Azure DevOps, JIRA).
• Experience with testing tools and scripting and automation languages (, SQL, VBScript, JavaScript, Python, Java).
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (, ISO, HACCP).
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Experience in various testing types such as functional, UI, API, and database testing.
• Experience working in large-scale and complex environments (nice to have).
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Possess over 4 years of QA or software testing experience, and leading medium to large scale projects

Requirements :

• Proven experience in leading and mentoring global QA teams, including offshore and outsourced resources.
• Strong background in driving test strategy, planning, and execution across complex, large-scale environments.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across different time zones (onsite / offshore).
• Hands-on involvement in all testing phases : System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing (RT).
• Ability to influence quality practices, promote automation adoption, and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Able to work independently with the least supervision, but always a team player
• Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies
• Attention to detail
• Good understanding of testing methodologies and testing processes
• Understand software development life cycle and various testing techniques including proficiency in systems testing
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Familiar with testing tools and defects management tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps or HP
• Ability to work off-business hours as needed

Preferences, Training and Experiences :

• Experience in medical, health, or life insurance
• Experience in test data management
• Intermediate to Expert SQL knowledge, with the ability to write and execute SQL queries for database verification across different tables
• Cantonese speaker preferred but not required. Excellent English is required if candidate is not a Chinese speaker
• Background in business analysis
• Experience in testing API's (REST, SOAP, or application propriety API's)
• ISTQB / QAI certifications
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and within diverse teams.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, schedule-driven environments, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
