Job Description – Procurement Manager (IT Sector)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with a strong background in the IT
sector to oversee and manage the company’s technology procurement strategy. The role
involves sourcing negotiating and managing vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective
acquisition of IT hardware software and services while aligning with business goals and
compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies for IT hardware software cloud
services and other technology-related requirements.
Manage end-to-end procurement cycle including vendor identification evaluation
selection negotiation contracting and performance management.
Collaborate with IT finance and business stakeholders to understand requirements and
deliver cost-effective procurement solutions.
Ensure procurement policies and procedures are adhered to including compliance with
company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Drive vendor performance reviews establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and
manage contract renewals.
Maintain accurate procurement records reports and data analysis to support decision-
making and cost optimization.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Monitor technology trends market conditions and pricing to ensure competitive
procurement practices.
Mitigate risks in supplier contracts and ensure business continuity through effective
vendor management.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree Supply Chain Management IT or related field. A Master’s / MBA or
professional certification (CIPS / CSCP / ISM) is an advantage.
7–10 years of procurement experience with at least 3–5 years in IT procurement at a
senior level.
Strong understanding of IT hardware software licensing models cloud services (SaaS
IaaS PaaS) and IT service contracts.
Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
Experience in vendor management and strategic sourcing.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Proficiency in procurement tools / ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Ariba Coupa).
Ability to work under pressure prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Able to manage a team as a procurement lead.
