Role Objective : To lead key controllership functions within the finance department, with a strong focus on indirect taxation (GST).
The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and driving compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements with focus on RBI Regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Controllership & Financial Governance
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Support regulatory reporting and compliance with RBI and other financial authorities.
2. Indirect Taxation
Manage end-to-end GST compliance including filing of returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C)Monitor GST input credit reconciliation and vendor compliance.Handle GST audits, departmental queries, and litigation matters.3. Process Improvement & Automation
Drive automation and digitization of finance workflows using ERP systems (e.g., SAP)Partner with IT and operations to streamline tax and accounting processes.Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of GST law and indirect taxation frameworksSolid foundation in financial accounting, reporting, and internal controlsProficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), Excel, and tax compliance tools.Qualifications & Experience
Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred; candidates with relevant finance and tax experience may also be considered.4-6 years of experience in finance controllership and indirect taxation, preferably in financial services, NBFCs, or banking(ref : iimjobs.com)
