We are looking for a highly skilled and adaptable Field Engineer to join our team. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support, overseeing installations, conducting site assessments, troubleshooting, and ensuring that projects meet all technical specifications on-site. This role requires frequent travel to client locations, and a strong focus on delivering exceptional engineering solutions in the field.
Key Responsibilities :
- Site Assessment & Installation : Oversee and support the installation, commissioning, and setup of equipment or systems at client sites, ensuring they are in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting : Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical assistance for clients, resolving equipment or system malfunctions, and ensuring minimal downtime.
- Client Interaction : Serve as the main point of contact between the company and clients during installations and ongoing projects, providing clear communication and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate records of site visits, progress reports, and any issues encountered during installation or maintenance. Prepare detailed technical reports for internal teams and clients.
- Testing & Quality Assurance : Perform field testing and ensure that all systems are functioning as expected. Verify that installations meet the required quality standards and technical specifications.
- Training & Support : Provide training to clients and staff on proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems and equipment. Offer ongoing support as necessary.
- Safety Compliance : Ensure all fieldwork complies with safety standards and regulations. Report any safety hazards or concerns and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Project Coordination : Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other engineers to ensure timely delivery and completion of on-site projects.
- Problem Solving : Identify and address potential issues before they become problems, ensuring smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
- Continuous Improvement : Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and innovations in the field of engineering to continuously improve your skills and contribute to the company's success.
Requirements :
Experience : 2+ years of experience in a field engineering role or related technical support capacity.
Skills :
Strong understanding of engineering principles, systems, and equipment relevant to the role.Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and reporting.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in field settings.Tools / Technologies :
Experience with [relevant tools / equipment specific to your industry, e.g., electrical systems, mechanical devices, etc.].Familiarity with project management and documentation tools.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Preferred Qualifications :
