Job descriptionThis critical product encompasses the tools, systems, and methodologies used to monitor compliance risks across the bank, generate meaningful insights into risk exposure and trends, and support strategic planning for risk mitigation and regulatory adherence. It aims to provide a holistic view of compliance risk, enabling data-driven decision-making and fostering a proactive risk culture. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to lead the development and evolution of our Compliance Risk Monitoring, Insights & Planning product. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of compliance risk management, driving innovation and delivering tangible value to our stakeholders. Successful candidate will support delivery of Risk Monitoring, Insights & Planning initiatives, with specific focus on transformation of Risk Management practices for compliance risk domains. Contribute to achieving the metrics and business outcomes in line with the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Compliance Risk Monitoring, Insight & Planning. Prioritize product initiatives based on strategic impact, regulatory urgency, business value, and technical feasibility. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder interviews to identify evolving industry best practices, and user needs. Develop a deep understanding of compliance risk domains and how they translate into product features and capabilities. Bring client centricity and compliance risk understanding to bear in the design and implementation of Risk Monitoring, Insights & Planning initiatives, ensuring the product effectively addresses the user needs and delivers measurable value. Translate complex business challenges and regulatory requirements into clear, concise product requirements and user stories. Lead Working Groups and / or stakeholder engagement to ensure that execution is completed to plan. Proactively update key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Champion the adoption of the product across the organization through effective communication and follow-up activities. Lead the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and continuous improvement, utilizing agile methodologies. Work closely with the UX / UI teams to create user journeys and prototypes, and build simple, functional interfaces which have a lasting user experience. Prepare and maintain product roadmaps based on different dimensions and levels of granularity. Support test experiments with end-users and own test readout and analyses. Act as the primary interface between Technology & Operations Teams, Data Analytics & AI Teams, Compliance & Business Risk Managers, Managed Services and other functional partners. Drive continuous process improvement within the product development lifecycle. Proactively support Agile practices and foster a culture of continuous service improvement. Act as a product evangelist, inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the product team and across stakeholder groups. Ensure that the product inherently supports the effective identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of compliance risks. Incorporate robust controls and data governance principles into product design and development. Monitor all major risk issues and concentrations. Where appropriate, direct remedial action and / or ensure adequate reporting to Risk Committees. Collaborate with internal audit and risk functions to ensure product adherence to internal policies and external regulations. Proactively identify and address potential risks related to product development, data integrity, and system performance. Ensure that initiatives are delivered consistent with the requirements of the ORF. Ensure that that Bank's project and change management disciplines are adhered with. Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Bachelors or Master's degree from a reputable university 5+ years of professional work experience in product management or project delivery or as a consultant 5+ years of professional work experience in Financial Institution or Fintech or equivalent industry. Certified in product or data science. Experience in Compliance, Financial Crime and / or Risk Management. Execution of product management best practices to achieve optimal outcomes. Design thinking, conducting user interviews, testing & developing user journeys. Knowledge of Compliance, Financial Crime and / or Risk Management. Track record of successfully launching and managing complex data or analytics-driven products. Prior experience in UX / UI design. Ability to collaborate and work dynamically across functions. Good communication skills, ability to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges. Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-informed product decisions.
