Grow Your Staff is looking for a Social Media Manager for a UK-based international humanitarian charity NGO. This is a full-time remote position.
The role will have excellent growth opportunities. You will be directly working with the team based in the UK.

Time : 1 PM - 10 PM IST (Monday - Friday)
Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, forward-looking social media strategy aligned with the organisation’s mission, fundraising, and communication goals
- Set clear growth KPIs and performance metrics for engagement, reach, conversion, and retention
- Act as a strategic advisor on digital communications, identifying new opportunities, platforms, and trends
- Oversee the annual content calendar, ensuring alignment across marketing, fundraising, and communication teams
Content & Brand Ownership
Manage content calendars across all social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, X / Twitter)Collaborate with video, photo, and design teams to produce engaging, high-quality multimedia contentMaintain a consistent brand narrative that reflects dignity, hope, and community through authentic storytellingExperiment with new formats such as short-form videos, storytelling series, and live events to expand audience reachWrite and edit impactful, emotion-driven copy that highlights stories, inspires action, and strengthens brand identityCommunity Growth & Engagement
Build and nurture an active, mission-driven online community aligned with the organisation’s valuesDevelop ambassador or advocate programs to expand organic reach and partnershipsLead community management — ensuring timely, compassionate, and professional engagement with followersMonitor conversations, respond to comments and messages, and maintain consistent tone and authenticityIdentify opportunities for collaborations, influencer partnerships, and cross-promotional initiativesAnalytics, Insights & Reporting
Track and analyse performance using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Insights, and Hootsuite SocialTranslate insights into actionable strategies to improve content quality, audience targeting, and engagementProvide monthly and quarterly reports for leadership, highlighting key trends, progress, and recommendationsConduct A / B testing to refine social content and optimise engagementCollaboration & Leadership
Work closely with the fundraising, communications, and marketing teams to integrate social media into broader campaignsMentor and guide creative teams to ensure cohesive storytelling and brand voiceManage the social media budget and oversee paid social campaigns when requiredInnovation & Representation
Stay ahead of emerging trends, platform developments, and best practices in digital engagement within the humanitarian spaceRepresent the organisation in digital collaborations or events, positioning it as a leader in humanitarian storytellingQualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related fieldProven (3+) years of experience managing social media strategy and execution, preferably in a non-profit or purpose-driven organisationProven experience developing and executing data-driven, multi-platform campaigns that grow engagement and brand awarenessStrong understanding of content strategy, storytelling, and digital engagement trendsExcellent writing and communication skills with the ability to craft emotionally engaging storiesExperience leading or collaborating with creative teams (video, photography, design)Strong understanding of analytics, paid promotions, and organic growth strategiesExcellent understanding of visual storytelling, digital branding, and audience psychologyProficiency in analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or similar)Excellent communication, copywriting, and editorial skillsPassion for humanitarian values and ethical, human-centred communicationPreferred :
