We are seeking a proactive Assistant Project Manager - MEP to oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works in building construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of how MEP systems integrate within the overall construction process and their impact on functionality and aesthetics. Prior experience in executing MEP works for hotel or hospitality projects is essential to ensure compliance with quality standards, operational efficiency, and design expectations unique to the sector.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design & Compliance Management :
- Actively engage in the initial design development of MEP Services and assess the constructability of the design.
- Review the Design Basis Report and ensure legal and statutory compliance of the design, following up to obtain timely approvals.
- Coordination & Execution Oversight :
- Coordinate with all disciplines of Services Design, along with Interior / Civil Vendors , to ensure a clash-free design.
- Ensure contractors submit shop drawings, TDS, and samples , obtaining approval in coordination with consultants / architects .
- Ensure conditions of approvals are implemented at the site during execution in a timely and sequential manner.
- Execute services work as per the drawings and specification in line with schedule and quality.
- Procurement & System Implementation :
- Provide value addition in the selection of vendors and local material supply vendors.
- Responsible for installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment related to all services ( Electrical / HVAC / Plumbing, Firefighting ).
- Project Support & Documentation :
- Support the planning team by providing required information and raising red flags for anticipated delays.
- Track long lead items with required documentation.
- Support the billing team before all concealed items are executed and ensure NT items are executed after the required change management process is followed.
- Manage handovers , ensuring all works are complete as per vendor contracts, and receipt of all relevant documents like manuals , test certificates , and as-built drawings .
- Follow all checklists related to execution / testing and commissioning.
- Initiate training for the taking-over team through the contractor and consultants, and ensure proper handover documents / closing report are prepared.
Skills

A B.E. Electrical / Mech degree.Proven experience in hotel or hospitality developments and in executing MEP works.Prior experience in Residential / Commercial / Hospital / Industrial Projects is an advantage.A minimum of 8-10 years of experience .Skills Required
