We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant (Non-CA) to join our Finance & Accounts department and support end-to-end accounting operations for the hospital. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting knowledge, strong analytical skills, and prior experience in the healthcare or service industry.
Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate books of accounts, managing daily financial operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting financial planning and control processes. This role is key to maintaining financial transparency, optimizing costs, and strengthening operational efficiency across departments.
Key Responsibilities and Duties 1. Accounting & Financial Operations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledgers, sub-ledgers, and trial balances on a monthly basis.
- Handle daily accounting activities including journal entries, expense booking, bank reconciliations, and vendor payments.
- Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in finalization of accounts in coordination with auditors and senior management.
2. Budgeting, MIS & Reporting
Assist in preparation of department-wise budgets and expenditure monitoring.Generate and analyze monthly MIS reports including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and variance reports.Provide data-driven insights to management for cost control and decision-making.3. Cost & Revenue Management
Track operational expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary limits.Support cost analysis in areas like procurement, pharmacy, diagnostics, and HR.Coordinate with billing, TPA, and insurance teams to ensure accurate recording of hospital revenues.4. Statutory Compliance
Ensure timely filing and compliance of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and Income Tax regulations.Prepare and maintain documentation for statutory and internal audits.Support auditors during review and ensure implementation of audit recommendations.5. Cash Flow & Asset Management
Prepare daily and monthly cash flow statements to ensure adequate liquidity.Oversee petty cash and payment processing with proper authorization controls.Maintain and update fixed asset registers with accurate depreciation records.6. Team Coordination & Support
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper documentation and financial control.Train and guide junior accounting staff in routine financial operations.Support management in any ad hoc financial analysis or special projects.Qualifications and Experience
Education :B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.(Note : CA Inter / Semi-qualified CA candidates are also welcome to apply.)Experience :Minimum 4–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare industry .Technical Skills :Strong command of Tally ERP , MS Excel , and Hospital Information Systems (HIS / HMIS) .Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance.Experience with SAP or Oracle will be an added advantage.
