The Senior Accountant will help the company in all accounting activities of both financial and management accounting, preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and performance reports, assisting departments with annual budgets and reviews, internal & external audits, and tax compliance.
Accounting & Reporting
- Review customer contracts and verify billing schedules, milestones, and payment terms
- Maintain the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring all payments, credits, and adjustments are properly recorded
- Apply cash receipts to customer accounts, reconcile discrepancies, and resolve unapplied payments or short collections.
- Collaborate with the customers, Sales, Sales Operations, Supply Chain and Legal teams to resolve billing disputes and ensure contract compliance.
- Monitor aging reports, follow up on overdue accounts professionally, and implement measures to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
- Reconcile AR sub-ledgers and general ledger accounts during month-end closing; support audit inquiries related to contract accounts.
- Prepare AR and collection analytics, including cash forecasts, variance analysis, and customer payment behavior reports.
Improving Controls, processes and practices
Lead the standardization and improvement of accounting processes, policies, procedures, internal controls, and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency of the accounting department globally.Drive implementation and adoption of new-age technology accounting system and work with various stakeholders to drive SOPs.Support ERP integration and other automations of billing and receivables workflows for contract-based customers.Collaboration
