I. About NationBuilding platform

As a not for profit initiative, Nationbuilding platform is committed to inspiring youth to pursue purpose driven careers, strengthening public service delivery and developing the country's next generation of public leaders. Through the NationBuilding platform, the Foundation engages over 1,00,000+ students across 6,500+ colleges.

The foundation is working towards realising its vision through flagship initiatives like:

● Case Study Competition: The largest undergraduate case study competition in India engaging students to solve challenging problem statements on Education, Sports, Public Health etc.

● Conclave: An annual national forum that brings together policymakers, defence personnel, educationists, industry leaders, and youth delegates to deliberate on India's development priorities and inspire pathways for public leadership and nation-building.

● Impact Chapters: Through this the foundation has established a footprint in the top educational institutes of the country like IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, Sri Ram College of Commerce, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University among others. Chapter Leaders champion and implement NationBuilding’s vision on the campuses, mobilising students to design and lead initiatives that create measurable impact while fostering civic leadership.

These along with other high impact initiatives, provide a continuous pathway from policy ideation, to leadership development and community action.

II. What are we looking for in the Program Manager?

As the foundation scales, building strong, engaged student communities becomes central to our growth. The Program Manager will define and drive the direction of our existing and new programmes to further expand the foundation’s reach across campuses and beyond. This role requires a high-ownership individual who can both design youth engagement initiatives and carry them through end-to-end along with the team.

III. Roles and Responsibilities

● Strategic conceptualization and program design: Architect zero-to-one initiatives by translating broad organizational goals into structured methodologies. Define the strategic roadmap, target outcomes, and core vision prior to on-ground rollout.

● Program execution and on-ground management: Lead the end-to-end execution of our initiatives. Establish clear operating frameworks, timelines, and accountability mechanisms to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across institutes.

● Building systems, reporting and impact measurement: Build scalable operating systems including reporting structures, documentation processes, and performance dashboards. Track participation, engagement, retention, and impact metrics to ensure data-backed decision-making and disciplined growth.

● Community ecosystem building: Define and architect NationBuilding’s campus community model across awareness, participation, and leadership stages. Design structured engagement pathways that move members from discovery to ownership, ensuring long-term depth, identity, and coherence across campuses and platforms.

● Team management: Build and lead a team of young associates.

IV. Desired Skills

● Structured Problem Solving: Should be able to tackle complex situations through effective and structured problem solving and out-of-the-box thinking, with the ability to propose practical solutions

● Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Drive clear and structured communication, and manage relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including vendors, agencies, and others

● Adaptability & Work Ethic: - Exceptional self-drive, passion and a proactive approach to work - - Flexibility to undertake ad hoc tasks and adapt to evolving priorities in a dynamic environment Possess uncompromising integrity and ethical principles

● Leadership Skills: Display the requisite leadership qualities to take ideas forward

● Operational Excellence: Exhibit a strong bias for action, adapt quickly to dynamic situations and demonstrate exceptional commitment in a demanding work environment

V. Eligibility

● At least 4 years of experience across operations, project development and execution roles

● Combine an impressive academic record with strong consulting skills

Note- This is a contractual role till June 2028.
