About the Role

We’re looking for a Head of Engineering who thrives on both building and leading — a player-coach who can architect scalable systems, write production-quality code, and inspire a team of top engineers. You’ll drive the technical vision behind LuminaData’s AI-powered finance automation platform , partnering closely with the Co-Founder and CTO to shape our product roadmap, scale infrastructure, and build a high-performance engineering culture.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves creating, iterating, and delivering — not just managing from the sidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Define and drive the company’s technical vision, architecture, and infrastructure strategy.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.
• Oversee architecture across frontend (React / Next.js) and backend (Python / Django) services for modularity and reliability.
• Lead system design and optimization in AWS Cloud, leveraging ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, RDS, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
• Establish and enforce best practices for CI / CD, testing, code reviews, and system monitoring.
• Ensure cloud systems are secure, cost-efficient, and aligned with SOC2 and compliance standards.
