Role : Principal Engineer - AI Platform Track
About the Role :
We are looking for a strong Platform Engineer to help build the core AI infrastructure powering PeopleStrongs next-generation AI products. You will work on foundational systems that power AI products at scale across 500+ enterprises and 2M+ employees. You will help design and build highly scalable, reliable, and production-grade AI platform infrastructure that multiple product teams will build on top of.
What Youll Work On :
- Transactional API Platform
- MCP Platform
- Agent System of Record
- Enterprise-scale multi-agent infrastructure
- Distributed backend systems with real production SLAs
- Scalable orchestration and runtime systems for AI agents
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and build scalable backend platform infrastructure for enterprise AI systems
- Architect distributed systems with strong focus on resiliency, scalability, concurrency, and multi-tenancy
- Build production-grade APIs, platform services, and orchestration layers
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define platform capabilities and standards
- Improve system reliability, observability, performance, and fault tolerance
- Drive engineering excellence, system design reviews, and architecture decisions
- Mentor engineers and contribute to long-term platform strategy
Tech Stack :
- Go / JVM / Rust
- Spring Boot
- Kafka & event-driven systems
- Python (good production-level understanding preferred)
What Were Looking For :
- Strong backend and platform engineering experience
- Proven experience building large-scale distributed systems with real SLAs
- Strong understanding of concurrency, scalability, resiliency, and failure handling
- Strong understanding of API architecture and platform engineering principles
- Experience with cloud-native systems and microservices architecture
- Exposure to agentic systems, orchestration frameworks, or AI infrastructure is a strong plus
Good to Have :
- Experience working on : Agent orchestration, Context engineering, Tool execution frameworks, Evaluation systems & observability, RBAC and multi-tenant architectures
- Familiarity with modern AI infrastructure patterns and LLM systems
