Senior Network Engineer - Routing & Switching

Role Overview :

As a Senior Network Engineer based in Gurgaon, you will serve as the backbone of our enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and robust security across our global operations. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design, deployment, and optimization of complex network environments, working closely with cross-functional IT teams, security architects, and external stakeholders to maintain high availability. By proactively managing our routing and switching architecture and fortifying our perimeter defenses, you will directly influence the reliability of our digital services and protect critical business data, ultimately driving operational excellence and a superior user experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and maintain high-performance network infrastructures, including complex routing and switching configurations, to ensure 99.99% uptime for business-critical applications.

- Manage and optimize enterprise-grade firewall environments, specifically Palo Alto and Cisco ASA, to mitigate security threats and ensure compliance with global data protection standards.

- Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex network incidents, collaborating with internal teams to minimize downtime and maintain system integrity.

- Design and implement secure VPN solutions and remote access protocols to facilitate safe and efficient connectivity for a distributed workforce.

- Conduct regular performance audits and capacity planning exercises to align network infrastructure with the evolving growth requirements of the organization.

- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices for network administration and security hardening to elevate the overall team capability.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale network environments with a deep understanding of TCP/IP, advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and switching technologies.

- Proven ability to configure and manage Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls, ensuring robust network security posture through rigorous policy management and threat analysis.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.

- A minimum of 5 - 10 years of hands-on experience in network administration within a high-pressure, enterprise-level environment.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative work environment while maintaining the adaptability to thrive in our Gurgaon-based office setting.

- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by relevant industry certifications such as CCNP or PCNSE.
