Power BI Lead

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the end-to-end development and delivery of Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Design scalable data models using Star and Snowflake schemas.

- Develop advanced DAX measures, KPIs, and Power Query transformations.

- Define BI architecture, best practices, and governance standards.

- Lead report optimization initiatives to improve performance and user experience.

- Manage Power BI Service, Workspaces, Apps, Gateways, Deployment Pipelines, and Row-Level Security (RLS).

- Work closely with Data Engineering teams to integrate data from multiple enterprise systems.

- Conduct code reviews and mentor developers on Power BI best practices.

- Lead production deployments, troubleshooting, and support activities.

- Drive stakeholder communication, project planning, and delivery timelines.

- Ensure compliance with data quality, security, and governance policies.

Required Skills :

- 8 - 12 years of experience in Business Intelligence, with at least 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development.

- Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query (M Language).

- Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization, stored procedures, and views.

- Strong knowledge of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing concepts.

- Experience with ETL processes and enterprise reporting solutions.

- Hands-on experience with Power BI Gateway, Deployment Pipelines, Workspaces, Apps, and Row-Level Security (RLS).

- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring developers.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, or Azure Data Lake.

- Knowledge of SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, or Databricks.

- Exposure to Python or R for advanced analytics.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate or Fabric Analytics certifications are preferred.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience leading enterprise BI implementations and managing cross-functional teams.
