About the Role

Werelooking for a hands-on engineering leader to build and lead our GenAI engineering team.Youlldrive execution ofour conversational AI and agentic AI roadmap managing a team of talented engineers whileremaininghands-onyourself. This role requires both exceptional leadership skills and the ability to roll up your sleeves and solve complex

technical problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mentor and grow a team of 7-10 GenAI engineers fostering a culture of technical excellence innovation anddelivery
• Drive end-to-end execution of conversational AI features that enable users to interact with Anaplan models throughnatural language
• Oversee development of agentic AI systems that can autonomouslyanalyzedata generate insights and executeplanning workflows
• Own the teams delivery roadmap working closely with product management to prioritize features and managetechnical trade-offs
• Establish engineering best practices for GenAI development including testing strategies evaluationframeworksand deployment patterns
• Lead sprint planning technical design reviews and retrospectives to ensure consistent delivery velocity andquality
• Collaborate with AI Solutions Architects to translate architectural vision into executable engineering plans
• Build andmaintainCI/CD pipelines for GenAI applications including automated testing and prompt regressionsuites
• Partner with platform teams to ensure AI features integrate seamlessly with Anaplans core infrastructure
• Manage technical debt refactoring initiatives and platform improvements whilemaintainingfeature deliverymomentum
• Recruit and onboard top engineering talent conducting technical interviews and building a diverse high-performing team
• Communicate progress risks and technical decisions to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• 7 years of software engineering experience with 2 years leading engineering teams
• Strong hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI applications in production
• Deep knowledge of LLM APIs prompt engineering and conversational AI patterns
• Experience with agentic frameworks and autonomous agent architectures
• Proficiencyin Python and modern software development practices (testing code review CI/CD)
• Proventrack recordof delivering complex technical projects on time with high quality
• Strong project management skills with experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and build cohesive productive teams
• Bachelors degree in computer science or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in fast-growing startups or enterprise software companies
• Knowledge of financial planning analytics or business intelligence domains
• Experience with RAG systems vector databases and semantic search
• Familiarity with model fine-tuning evaluation and continuous improvement workflows
• Background in distributed systems microservices or cloud-native architectures
• Experience with TypeScript/React for full-stack AI applications
• Track recordof improving engineering velocity and team productivity metrics
