Vice President - IT Operations

About the Role :

We are looking for an accomplished technology leader to head our India Technology organization. This executive will lead a large-scale engineering function comprising Software Engineering, Technology Operations, Infrastructure, and Security while driving enterprise-wide engineering excellence, AI-led transformation, operational maturity, and technology innovation.

The role requires an experienced engineering executive with a proven track record of managing large global technology organizations, delivering enterprise-scale software platforms, and leading high-performing engineering teams in a matrixed global environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead a 1000+ member technology organization across Software Engineering, IT Operations, Infrastructure, and Security.

- Drive engineering strategy, software delivery excellence, SDLC governance, architecture modernization, DevSecOps, and platform engineering.

- Own engineering execution, delivery predictability, operational KPIs, quality metrics, and production stability.

- Lead enterprise-wide AI/GenAI transformation initiatives by embedding LLMs, AI-assisted SDLC, intelligent automation, and AI-driven engineering productivity.

- Build scalable cloud-native platforms leveraging Microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, Containers, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and modern engineering practices.

- Partner with global Engineering, Product, Architecture, Security, and Business leaders to execute strategic technology initiatives.

- Establish engineering governance, capacity planning, resource optimization, release management, and risk management frameworks.

- Drive technology modernization, cloud transformation, automation, resiliency, observability, and operational excellence.

- Build strong engineering leadership, succession planning, talent development, and high-performance technology teams.

Mandatory Requirements :

- 20+ years of technology leadership experience.

- Experience leading large engineering organizations (1000+ engineers preferred).

- Strong background in Software Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, SDLC, DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, and Technology Operations.

- Hands-on understanding of Java and .NET technology ecosystems.

- Demonstrated experience driving AI/GenAI Transformation, including LLM adoption, AI-assisted software development, engineering automation, and Responsible AI governance.

- Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), Microservices, Containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and modern engineering practices.

- Proven experience managing Global Capability Centers (GCC/GIC) or large global engineering organizations.

- Strong executive stakeholder management experience with global leadership teams.

- Experience driving digital transformation, engineering modernization, operational excellence, and large-scale organizational change.

- Strong understanding of IT Operations, Enterprise Security, Infrastructure, Compliance, Incident Management, and Technology Governance.

- Excellent people leadership, organizational scaling, succession planning, and talent development experience.

- Engineering degree from an IIT is mandatory.

- Minimum 3.5 - 4 years of stability in the current organization is mandatory.

Preferred Background :

- Experience from global product companies, SaaS organizations, healthcare technology, fintech, enterprise software, or large multinational GCCs will be highly preferred.
