Job Title : Head - Printing (Soft Signages and Digital Printing Industry)

Job Summary

The Head - Printing is responsible for overseeing the entire printing process for soft signages and Digital Printing, ensuring high-quality output, optimal machine performance, and efficient production workflows. This role involves managing a team of print technicians and operators, developing and implementing technical strategies, maintaining equipment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in the printing department.

Key Responsibilities

• ⁠ ⁠Leadership and Management :
• Lead and manage the printing team, including print technicians, operators, and support staff.
• Provide technical guidance and training to the team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• ⁠ ⁠Technical Expertise :
• Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of printing machines (such as large-format printers, dye-sublimation printers, UV printers, etc.) to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to printing processes and equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production quality.
• ⁠ ⁠Process Optimization :
• Develop and implement standardized processes and best practices for printing operations to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high-quality output.
• Conduct regular process audits and implement corrective actions to optimize workflows and improve production metrics.
• ⁠ ⁠Quality Assurance :
• Ensure all printed products meet or exceed quality standards and customer specifications.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to implement quality checks and maintain consistency in color, clarity, and overall print quality.
• ⁠ ⁠Equipment Maintenance and Upgrades :
• Manage the maintenance schedule for all printing equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of machines.
• Research and recommend equipment upgrades or new technology investments to enhance production capabilities and stay ahead of industry trends.
• ⁠ ⁠Production Planning :
• Work closely with the production planning team to ensure efficient scheduling of print jobs, optimizing machine utilization and minimizing lead times.
• Monitor production timelines and ensure that print jobs are completed on schedule.
• ⁠ ⁠Cost Management :
• Monitor and control printing-related costs, including materials, inks, and maintenance expenses.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety standards.
• ⁠ ⁠Research and Development :
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in printing technology, materials, and techniques in the soft signage industry.
• Lead research and development efforts to innovate and improve printing processes and products.
• ⁠ ⁠Cross-functional Collaboration :
• Collaborate with the design, sales, and production teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on project requirements and timelines.
• Support the sales team with technical expertise during client discussions and product development.
