Role: Senior SAP FICO Consultant

Role & Responsibilities:

The Senior SAP FICO Consultant will be responsible for leading the implementation, enhancement, and support of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) solutions for enterprise and government sector projects. The role involves business process consulting, solution design, financial process optimization, integration across SAP modules, and ensuring compliance with statutory and government financial regulations. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and leadership to deliver scalable and compliant SAP Finance solutions.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

1. SAP FICO Implementation:

- Lead end-to-end SAP FICO implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects.

- Configure and optimize SAP FI and CO modules based on business requirements.

- Drive business process standardization and automation across finance functions.

- Ensure successful integration between SAP Finance and other SAP modules.

2. Financial Process Consulting:

- Analyze and optimize financial accounting and controlling processes.

- Provide consulting on General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, and Profitability Analysis.

- Support budgeting, planning, and financial closing activities.

- Recommend best practices aligned with SAP standards and business objectives.

3. SAP S/4HANA Transformation:

- Support SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration and transformation initiatives.

- Design finance solutions leveraging Universal Journal, New GL, and SAP Fiori.

- Participate in data migration, testing, cutover, and post-go-live support.

- Ensure successful adoption of SAP S/4HANA Finance capabilities.

4. Government & Regulatory Compliance:

- Deliver SAP FICO solutions for Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Government Departments, and Government-funded projects.

- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, statutory reporting, and government financial regulations.

- Implement Budget Control System (BCS), Funds Management (FM), and public sector financial processes.

- Support audits, compliance reporting, and financial governance initiatives.

5. Stakeholder Management & Leadership:

- Collaborate with business users, finance teams, project managers, and technical consultants.

- Conduct workshops, requirement gathering, solution demonstrations, and user training sessions.

- Mentor junior SAP consultants and provide technical guidance.

- Support project planning, estimations, risk management, and governance activities.

Mandatory Skills:

- 8-12 years of SAP FICO consulting experience.

- Minimum 2-3 end-to-end SAP implementation projects.

- Strong expertise in SAP FI and SAP CO modules.

- Experience working with Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Government Departments, Public Sector Enterprises, or Government-funded projects.

- Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA Finance.

- Strong understanding of Indian statutory compliance including GST, TDS, and financial reporting.

- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and business consulting skills.

- Ability to lead client discussions, workshops, and solution design sessions.

Nice to Have:

- SAP FICO Certification.

- MBA (Finance), CA, CMA, or ICWA qualification.

- Experience with Budget Control System (BCS) and Funds Management (FM).

- Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BW, and reporting solutions.

- Experience with SAP Public Sector Management.

- Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and Agile project delivery.

- Experience in large-scale government digital transformation projects.
