We at Verdantas, seeking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Designer to join our team. In this role, you will assist in designing projects across various markets, including Oil & Gas, Industrial, and Water/Wastewater. This individual will be responsible for designing and drafting electrical tasks and working with Engineers, Technical Leaders, and Designers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design process for complex projects such as: Design branch circuit layout, panel scheduling, grounding plans, electrical area classification plans, and power distribution design
• Design and layout engineering drawings, performing drafting and design as needed.
• Lead and mentor design teams while reviewing and ensuring the quality of engineering sketches, drawings, specifications, and related deliverables to ensure high-quality work
• Ensure all design work complies with industry standards, project guidelines, NEC, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and suppliers to understand their needs, objectives, and vision for the design
• Conduct site visits and inspections to document existing conditions and ensure design integrity and quality (travel estimated 10%)
• Prepare and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources
• Stay updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies
• Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support throughout the project lifecycle

Required Skills:

• An Engineering Degree, Masters or Bachelors (Preferred in Electrical)
• 8+ years of relevant design experience
• Proficiency in designing in AutoCAD (Revit or Plant 3D experience is a plus)
• Experience with ETAP and/or SKM Power Analysis Software is a plus
• Experience with voltage drop calculations and appropriate cable sizing for electrical systems
• Proficiency in NEC code design standards
• Ability to work independently on projects
• Ability to specify portions of the engineering systems based on past experience
