AS400 COBOL Engineer

Role : AS400 COBOL Technology

In this role, you will :

- Need to liaise with various stakeholders and participate in technical discussions to come up with solution design as per agreed BFSI standards.

- Guide team members technically and work collaboratively with other colleagues.

- Identify the technical debt, automation opportunities, process improvement, cost saving opportunities as applicable and implement the solutions within the application and beyond.

- Need to be able to contribute in various specialised forums like communities of practice, innovation ideas, etc.

- Need to be a Full stack engineer able to handle end to end DevOps pipeline and reduce manual intervention.

- Need to execute projects in Agile and SCRUM.

- Undergo various organization/project related trainings and do knowledge transfer to the team as needed.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements :

Must have :

- Working experience (minimum of 4 to 5 years) in Cobol/400, CL/400, DB2/400, Display files and programs.

- Working experience on DevOps tools like Jenkins, AppDynamics, Ansible, ARCAD and Splunk.

- Experience on Incident and Problem management.

- Financial Services/ Banking domain experience.

Good to have :

- Good interpersonal and communication skills.

- Knowledge in Core/Advanced Java, Spring boot, API, Web services and Micro services architecture.
