Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and process-driven Senior Merchandiser to manage key international buyer accounts and oversee end-to-end product development. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of garment manufacturing, strong communication, coordination, organization skills, and the ability to maintain strict adherence to timelines and internal systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison for international buyers ensuring smooth communication, updates, and alignment on product development, pricing, and delivery.
• Oversee the complete merchandising process from fabric sourcing, design development, sampling, and costing to production and shipment.
• Maintain continuous communication with buyers to understand upcoming seasonal plans, sharing any fabric developments, development ideas/concepts that align with buyer preferences.
• Strengthen existing buyer relationships and play a key role in scaling company revenue and improving order conversion rates.
• Coordinate effectively with design, sampling, and production teams to maintain workflow discipline and resolve bottlenecks proactively along with ensuring proactive communication on any delays or changes.
• Participate in buyer meetings, representing the company's capabilities and identifying potential business opportunities.
• Prepare and monitor T&A calendars to ensure timely milestones are achieved (approvals, fittings, PP samples, and production) and smooth order execution.
• Review tech packs and prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for fabrics, trims, and accessories, coordinating with sourcing teams for timely procurement.
• Lead Pre-Production (PP) meetings with production and quality teams to align on construction details, production plans, and quality expectations.
• Approve fabric lots, embroidery, printing, and other subcontracting processes before bulk production.
• Coordinate with buyer-nominated labs and third-party inspection agencies to ensure fabric/garment testing and initial, mid-line, and final inspections meet compliance standards.
• Drive product re-engineering and value optimization to align garment construction with buyer price expectations while maintaining quality.
• Maintain complete production files (approvals, swatches, samples, buyer comments) for reference and audit.
• Provide regular updates to management on order status, shipment schedules, and business performance.

Preferred Education

Bachelor's degree (any stream) with a diploma from NIFT or a similar institute in clothing production technology, fashion design or apparel merchandising.

Candidates from Gurgaon are preferred.
