About the Role :We are seeking a highly driven and analytical Investor Relations professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in fundraising, investor engagement, reporting, and relationship management with institutional investors. This role requires a strong understanding of fund structures, performance metrics, investor expectations, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Fundraising & Capital Raising :
- Build and maintain relationships with domestic institutional investors, including Banks, Insurance Companies, Fund of Funds (FoFs), Development Financial Institutions (DFIs), Sovereign Funds, and other institutional LPs.
- Support fundraising initiatives and contribute towards securing capital commitments for investment funds.
- Identify, engage, and cultivate prospective investors through continuous market mapping, networking, and relationship-building activities.
- Assist in developing fundraising strategies, investor outreach plans, and capital-raising campaigns.
2. Investor Relations & Stakeholder Management :
- Serve as a key point of contact for existing and prospective Limited Partners (LPs).
- Foster long-term investor relationships through proactive engagement, regular communication, and transparency.
- Manage investor inquiries, information requests, and follow-ups in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain strong investor satisfaction and engagement throughout the fund lifecycle.
3. Investor Reporting & Communications :
- Lead the preparation and dissemination of quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc investor reports.
- Present and explain fund performance metrics including IRR, MOIC, TVPI, RVPI, NAV, portfolio performance, and key fund updates.
- Coordinate investor meetings, annual investor conferences, webinars, and stakeholder events.
- Translate complex financial, investment, and operational information into clear, concise, and investor-friendly communications.
4. Due Diligence & Data Room Management :
- Coordinate and manage LP due diligence processes during fundraising and investor onboarding.
- Maintain and update investor data rooms, fund documents, marketing materials, and reporting packages.
- Ensure all investor documentation is accurate, compliant, and readily accessible.
- Support preparation of DDQs, investor presentations, and fundraising collateral.
5. Investor Pipeline & CRM Management :
- Track investor engagement activities and fundraising progress through CRM platforms.
- Monitor investor interactions, feedback, pipeline status, and commitment timelines.
- Maintain an updated LP database and continuously assess the investor landscape for new fundraising opportunities.
- Generate periodic pipeline and fundraising activity reports for senior management.
6. Fund Operations & Regulatory Compliance :
- Develop a strong understanding of fund operations, portfolio performance, investments, and fund finance.
- Ensure adherence to KYC, AML, NDA, SEBI, Trustee, and other regulatory requirements related to investor engagement.
- Coordinate with internal teams, fund administrators, auditors, and legal advisors on investor-related matters.
- Leverage technology and reporting tools to enhance investor communication, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Desired Experience & Qualifications :
- 5–6 years of relevant experience in Investor Relations, Fundraising, Fund Finance, Fund Operations, Capital Raising, or LP Reporting.
- Prior experience with Venture Capital Funds, Private Equity Funds, Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), Fund Administrators, or Asset Management Firms is highly preferred.
- Exposure to institutional investors such as Banks, Insurance Companies, Sovereign Wealth Funds, DFIs, Pension Funds, and FoFs will be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of fund structures, investor reporting metrics (IRR, MOIC, TVPI, RVPI, NAV), and fundraising processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Professional qualifications such as CA, CFA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent will be preferred.
Preferred Background :
Candidates from Venture Capital, Private Equity, AIFs, Fund Administration, Asset Management, Investment Banking, or Institutional Fundraising backgrounds with direct exposure to LP management and capital raising activities will be highly preferred.
