Role Overview
We are looking for a high-potential professional to join the Marketing Communications team as an Assistant Manager – Communications. The ideal candidate is creative, articulate, digitally fluent, detail-oriented, and passionate about building impactful communication that strengthens our brand, culture, and employee experience.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Communications Lead and support a wide range of initiatives including corporate communications, internal communications, leadership messaging, content creation, employee engagement, employer branding, change management communications, social media, and brand storytelling.
This is a hands-on role that requires exceptional writing skills, curiosity, ownership, speed of execution, and the ability to translate business context into engaging and meaningful communication.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Communication
- Draft, edit, and proofread internal communications, newsletters, leadership messages, campaign copy, emailers, event invitations, posters, social media content, and intranet articles.
- Develop compelling communication assets for employee engagement, organizational initiatives, culture-building, and leadership communication.
- Convert stakeholder inputs into clear, concise, and impactful communication.
- Ensure consistency in tone, language, formatting, grammar, and brand voice across all communication channels.
Campaigns & Employee Engagement
- Support the planning and execution of internal communication campaigns focused on culture, workplace experience, AI-first adoption, learning, leadership communication, employee recognition, and organizational change.
- Create campaign concepts, messaging frameworks, taglines, creative briefs, and activation ideas.
- Coordinate with HR, business teams, design teams, administration, and other stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
- Support both digital and on-ground engagement initiatives including town halls, leadership visits, office launches, contests, employee events, and culture campaigns.
Digital & Social Communications
- Draft engaging content for LinkedIn and other social media platforms focusing on leadership visibility, employer branding, company culture, events, and organizational milestones.
- Repurpose internal communication into external employer branding stories wherever appropriate.
- Track digital communication trends and recommend innovative content ideas.
Research & Coordination
- Research communication trends, employee engagement practices, AI-enabled communication tools, and industry best practices.
- Maintain communication calendars, campaign trackers, content repositories, and execution plans.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather inputs, manage approvals, and ensure timely delivery of communication initiatives.
Creative & AI-Enabled Communication
- Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, and similar platforms for drafting, ideation, proofreading, summarization, and content optimization.
- Explore new communication formats and digital storytelling approaches.
- Bring fresh, Gen Z-relevant ideas to enhance employee participation and internal engagement.
Must-Have Skills
- 2–4 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Internal Communications, Marketing Communications, Employer Branding, Content Marketing, or Brand Communications.
- Experience with an IT Services organization or a reputed Marketing/Creative Agency supporting technology clients.
- Excellent written English with outstanding grammar, clarity, storytelling, and editing skills.
- Strong ability to create engaging, audience-focused communication.
- High attention to detail with excellent proofreading capability.
- Good understanding of digital content, workplace communication, and social media platforms.
- Strong ownership, curiosity, responsiveness, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Hands-on exposure to AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, or similar platforms.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Basic design capabilities using Canva, PowerPoint, or similar visual design tools.
- Exposure to Employer Branding, Internal Communications, Corporate Culture, Business Storytelling, and Technology Communications.
- Experience participating in editorial boards, media clubs, debating societies, theatre, placement committees, student councils, or event management.
- Understanding of short-form videos, reels, visual storytelling, and video scripting.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience: 2–4 years in Corporate/Marketing Communications.
- Industry Preference: IT Services, Technology Consulting, Global Capability Centers (GCCs), or reputed Marketing/Creative Agencies.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Creative thinker with strong storytelling capabilities.
- Digitally fluent with a passion for AI-enabled communication and emerging communication trends.
- Self-driven, collaborative, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, Marketing, Public Relations, Media Studies, or Business Administration.
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing or Communications is preferred.
