| Job Purpose | Responsible for drafting reviewing vetting and advising on legal documentation relating to Consumer Lending Retail Lending SME Lending and Fixed Deposit business including digital lending journeys product documentation vendor arrangements and regulatory legal support. |
| Duties and Responsibilities | Draft review and vet loan security and related documentation for secured and unsecured Retail and SME loan products. Draft review and advise on terms and conditions for Fixed Deposit products including queries relating to deceased claim settlements powers of attorney trust deeds and investment-related clauses. Review and advise on customer journeys consent flows and loan documentation for digital lending products and digital customer acquisition channels. Structure draft review and negotiate product-specific documentation in coordination with business product compliance operations and technology teams. Draft review and negotiate agreements relating to interest subvention outsourcing service providers collaborations non-disclosure arrangements marketing and endorsement arrangements escrow structures and digital initiatives. Prepare standardize and periodically update legal templates for new and existing products ensuring consistency with applicable laws internal policies and business requirements. Draft and vet terms and conditions for promotional offers campaigns customer communications and product-related disclosures. Research and analyse applicable laws judicial precedents and regulatory developments to assess their impact on products services documentation and customer journeys. Provide timely practical and legally sound advice to internal stakeholders on day-to-day legal contractual regulatory and documentation-related issues. Support implementation of legal and regulatory changes affecting consumer lending digital lending outsourcing data privacy consumer protection and financial services documentation. |
| Required Qualifications and Experience | LL.B. from a recognised university with overall 4 to 5 years of post-qualification experience including at least 2 years in the banking financial services NBFC or law firm environment. Hands-on experience in drafting reviewing vetting and negotiating lending documentation commercial contracts and product-related legal documents. Good working knowledge of laws and regulatory guidelines applicable to the BFSI sector including contract law information technology laws Aadhaar law data privacy laws insolvency laws consumer protection laws and RBI/NBFC regulatory requirements. Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to provide clear and practical legal advice to business teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to work in a process-oriented environment manage multiple priorities and take ownership of assigned matters. Team-oriented approach with willingness to collaborate with internal stakeholders external counsel and cross-functional teams. Willingness to support urgent business requirements and additional responsibilities wherever required. |
