Accounts Payable Manager - Immediate Joiners

Job Overview

The A/P Manager – Finance and Accounting is responsible for overseeing the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and optimizing operational efficiency. This role will lead the A/P team, manage vendor relationships, and work cross-functionally with finance and procurement to support business operations and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process including invoice processing, approvals, payment runs, and reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors in compliance with contractual terms and company policies.
• Manage the A/P team, including hiring, training, performance management, and workflow coordination.
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and automation within the A/P function.
• Reconcile A/P sub-ledger to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment and issue resolution.
• Monitor A/P aging and cash disbursement schedules to optimize working capital.
• Support month-end close activities and internal/external audits related to A/P.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounts payable, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and A/P best practices.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Concur, Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or service-based industries.
• Familiarity with AP automation tools and process improvement methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Knowledge of internal control procedures.
