Role Overview :

As a Node.js Developer at Skeps, you will be responsible for building and scaling the core backend infrastructure that powers our financing marketplace. You will work closely with product managers, data scientists, and frontend engineers to design robust APIs and microservices that handle high-volume transaction data with low latency. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and security of our financial systems, directly impacting the efficiency of credit approvals and the overall experience for our merchant partners and end-users. You will be based in our Gurgaon office, contributing to a high-growth environment where technical excellence is the primary driver of business success.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and develop scalable backend services using Node.js to support complex financial transactions and real-time data processing.

- Optimize database queries and system performance to ensure high availability and low latency for our merchant-facing platforms.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate third-party APIs and financial services, expanding the reach and functionality of the Skeps ecosystem.

- Implement rigorous security protocols and data protection measures to maintain the integrity of sensitive financial information.

- Conduct thorough code reviews and mentor junior developers to uphold high engineering standards and promote best practices across the development lifecycle.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building high-traffic applications using Node.js, with a deep understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous programming.

- Proven ability to design and manage complex database schemas using both SQL and NoSQL technologies to support evolving business requirements.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex system bottlenecks and implement effective performance tuning strategies.

- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

- A minimum of 4 to 7 years of professional experience in backend development, preferably within a fast-paced fintech or high-growth product organization.

- Ability to thrive in an on-site work environment in Gurgaon, maintaining high levels of productivity and engagement with the local engineering team.
