Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in AutoCAD plugin development and AutoCAD Electrical to build and architect integrations with Rulestream ETO. The role involves developing scalable high-performance plugins handling complex customization and ensuring compatibility across AutoCAD 2022 through newer versions (2024 and beyond) including evolving platform transitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AutoCAD plugins/add-ins integrated with Rulestream ETO.
  
• Architect solutions supporting:
  
• AutoCAD 2022 (baseline)
  
• AutoCAD 2024 (.NET Framework Windows)
  
• Future readiness for AutoCAD 2025 (Core/.NET for OS compatibility)
  
• Develop and extend:
  
• Managed APIs (.NET C#)
  
• COM APIs and COM DLLs
  
• Wrapper APIs using ObjectARX
  
• Solve complex challenges related to:
  
• Multi-version plugin compatibility
  
• Performance optimization
  
• API abstraction layers
  
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
  

Technical Expertise

• Strong experience in:
  
• API (C#)
  
• AutoCAD plugin/add-in development
  
• Deep knowledge of:
  
• AutoLISP (LISP)
  
• AutoCAD base and AutoCAD Electrical usage
  
• Advanced experience with:
  
• Managed APIs and COM APIs
  
• COM DLL development
  
• Hands-on experience with:
  
• ObjectARX (for wrapper/API extension)
  

Domain Expertise (Must-Have)

• Strong understanding of electrical concepts:
  
• Schematics
  
• Footprints
  
• Panels
  
• Wiring and wiring networks
  
• WDP MDP project files
  
• AutoCAD Electrical project structure and workflows
  
• Internal database of AutoCAD Electrical
  

Platform Knowledge

• Experience with:
  
• AutoCAD (.NET Framework Windows-based)
  
• Awareness and design capability for:
  
• AutoCAD 2025 Core platform ( / OS portability)
  

Experience

• 610 years of experience in AutoCAD customization and plugin development
  

Nice to Have
