Job description
Role Objective

Drive operational excellence across the employee lifecycle by strengthening HR governance, compensation and benefits administration, statutory compliance, payroll operations, employer branding, and employee experience. The role is accountable for building scalable HR operational frameworks, ensuring compliance, enhancing organizational credibility, and supporting the organization's people strategy through efficient and employee-centric HR operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve HR operations across the employee lifecycle, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and a seamless employee experience.
  • Drive compensation and benefits administration by managing salary structures, employee grading, compensation benchmarking, benefits programs, payroll coordination, and employee rewards while ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • Develop and maintain the organization's job grading and compensation framework, ensuring consistency, role clarity, career progression, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory regulations, and employment legislation while proactively identifying and mitigating organizational compliance risks.
  • Govern payroll administration by ensuring accurate employee records, payroll inputs, statutory deductions, reimbursements, incentives, and full & final settlements in collaboration with Finance.
  • Lead employee onboarding and transition processes by delivering structured, compliant, and engaging experiences that reinforce organizational culture and employer value proposition.
  • Strengthen the organization's Employer Value Proposition (EVP) by supporting HR branding initiatives, enhancing employee touchpoints, and contributing to employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Build and maintain robust HR policies, operational frameworks, documentation standards, and governance mechanisms that support organizational growth and operational excellence.
  • Leverage HR analytics and workforce data to provide insights on compensation, employee movements, compliance, turnover, and operational performance, enabling informed business decisions.
  • Partner with business leaders and employees to provide expert guidance on compensation, grading, employee benefits, HR policies, statutory matters, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to automate, standardize, and optimize HR operational processes, enhancing efficiency and service quality.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, accuracy, professional integrity, and stakeholder service while managing sensitive employee information and organizational records.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in HR Operations, Compensation & Benefits, or HR Administration.
  • Strong understanding of Compensation Management, Total Rewards, Job Evaluation, Grading Structures, and Benefits Administration.
  • Hands-on experience in payroll coordination, statutory compliance, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of Indian labour laws, payroll legislation, and statutory compliances.
  • Experience contributing to Employer Branding, Employee Value Proposition (EVP), and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret HR data and recommend operational improvements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong governance and compliance mindset.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
  • High levels of patience, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in HRMS, payroll systems, Microsoft Excel, and HR reporting.
