Senior Data Analyst - SQL/Python

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst with 8- 12 years of experience in analyzing large datasets, generating business insights, and building dashboards to support strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with SQL, Python, BI tools, and data visualization, along with the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams.

The role requires transforming complex business requirements into actionable insights through data analysis, reporting, and predictive analytics.

Key Responsibilities :

- Gather, analyze, and interpret large and complex datasets to identify business trends and opportunities.

- Design and develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs for business stakeholders.

- Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality checks.

- Write optimized SQL queries to extract and analyze data from multiple sources.

- Develop analytical models to solve business problems and improve operational efficiency.

- Collaborate with business teams to understand reporting requirements.

- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover hidden insights.

- Automate recurring reports and dashboards.

- Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior management.

- Monitor data quality and ensure data accuracy.

- Support forecasting and business planning through data-driven insights.

- Work with Data Engineers and BI teams to improve reporting infrastructure.

Required Technical Skills :

1. Data Analysis :

- Data Analysis, Data Interpretation, Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), Statistical Analysis, Business Intelligence.

2. Programming :

- SQL (Advanced), Python, R (Preferred).

3. Visualization Tools :

- Power BI, Tableau, Looker (Good to Have), Excel (Advanced).

4. Databases :

- SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.

5. Data Technologies :

- ETL Concepts, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, Data Validation.

6. Cloud (Preferred) :

- Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with predictive analytics and forecasting.

- Exposure to machine learning concepts.

- Knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.

- Strong business acumen.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience working in Agile environments.

Candidate Profile :

- 8- 12 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Senior Data Analyst.

- Strong expertise in SQL and Python.

- Hands-on experience with Power BI or Tableau.

- Experience working with large enterprise datasets.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Strong communication and presentation skills.

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
