Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled SAS ETL Developer with 5-7 years of experience in SAS development and ETL programming, preferably within the Banking and Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in SAS ETL development, data integration, testing, deployment, and production support. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying ETL solutions using SAS technologies while ensuring data quality, performance optimization, and compliance with project standards. Experience in Agile environments and exposure to Credit Risk projects will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

1. SAS ETL Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SAS technologies.

- Develop efficient and scalable SAS programs for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

- Build and optimize data integration workflows using SAS DI Studio.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical ETL solutions.

- Ensure high-quality code development following industry best practices.

2. Data Processing & Analysis :

- Perform data validation, cleansing, transformation, and reconciliation activities.

- Handle large volumes of banking and financial data efficiently.

- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and SAS programs.

- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems.

3. Testing & Quality Assurance :

- Conduct Unit Testing and System Testing of SAS code and ETL workflows.

- Prepare test cases, test plans, and testing documentation.

- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects and performance issues.

- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.

4. Deployment & Production Support :

- Manage code migration and deployment activities across environments.

- Utilize Bitbucket for source code management, branching, and version control.

- Support production deployments and release management processes.

- Monitor ETL jobs and resolve production incidents.

- Perform root cause analysis for production issues.

5. Collaboration & Agile Delivery :

- Work closely with business analysts, data teams, and stakeholders.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

- Collaborate effectively with onsite and offshore teams.

- Provide regular project status updates and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.

- 5-7 years of relevant experience in SAS ETL Development.

- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in SAS ETL programming within Banking projects.

- Strong expertise in SAS Base, SAS Advanced Base, SAS Enterprise Guide, and SAS DI Studio.

- Experience in Unit Testing, System Testing, and Production Support.

- Hands-on experience with Bitbucket and version control practices.

- Strong SQL programming and data analysis skills.

- Experience working in Agile project environments.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in Credit Risk projects.

- Exposure to Risk Management and Regulatory Reporting systems.

- SAS Certification (preferred).

- Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts.

- Experience working with global banking clients.
