About the Role :

We are looking for a highly experienced Industrial Automation IoT Domain Specialist with strong expertise across Embedded Systems, Cloud Platforms, and AI/ML. This role will be responsible for defining and driving end-to-end Industrial Automation and IIoT solutions, enabling smart, connected, and intelligent industrial systems. The ideal candidate will act as a domain expert and technical leader, supporting architecture definition, solution design, customer engagement, and mentoring engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and own end-to-end Industrial Automation and IIoT architectures, covering embedded devices, edge systems, cloud platforms, and analytics.

- Provide domain leadership in industrial embedded systems, device connectivity, and automation platforms.

- Design scalable, secure, and reliable industrial IoT solutions for manufacturing and automation use cases.

- Work closely with product management, engineering, pre-sales, and delivery teams to align technical solutions with business needs.

- Guide implementation of device-to-cloud data pipelines, real-time data processing, and edge intelligence.

- Drive use of AI/ML techniques for industrial use cases such as predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, quality monitoring, and process optimization.

- Ensure adherence to industrial standards, cybersecurity best practices, and compliance requirements.

- Mentor and technically guide teams across embedded, cloud, and analytics domains.

- Support customer-facing activities including architecture reviews, solution discussions, and technical escalations.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in Industrial Automation and IIoT.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, Computer Science, or related engineering disciplines.

Experience :

- 10-15 years of experience in Industrial Automation, IIoT, or Automation-focused IoT solutions.

- Strong hands-on background in Embedded Systems (C/C++, RTOS, Embedded Linux).

- Experience with industrial communication protocols such as : OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet, EtherCAT, CAN, MQTT.

- Solid experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for industrial data ingestion and analytics.

- Experience designing industrial device management, telemetry, and monitoring solutions.

- Good understanding or hands-on exposure to AI/ML applied to industrial data.

Technical Skills :

1. Embedded & Industrial Systems :

- Embedded C/C++, RTOS, Embedded Linux.

- PLCs, gateways, sensors, and edge devices.

- Industrial networks and fieldbus protocols.

2. Cloud & Data :

- Industrial IoT cloud services (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, etc.).

- Microservices and REST APIs.

- Data streaming and time-series data platforms.

- Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes - good to have).

3. AI/ML & Analytics :

- Predictive maintenance and condition monitoring.

- Anomaly detection and time-series analytics.

- Model deployment on cloud or edge (exposure preferred).

4. Security :

- Industrial cybersecurity principles.

- Device authentication, encryption, secure OTA updates.

- Compliance with industrial and enterprise security standards.
