Azure Solution Architect

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure aligned with business objectives.

- Lead cloud transformation, modernization, and migration initiatives from on-premises and hybrid environments to Azure.

- Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents for enterprise applications and infrastructure.

- Define cloud governance, security, compliance, and operational best practices.

- Architect scalable, highly available, and resilient cloud-native applications using Azure services.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and project managers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Design and implement networking architectures, including Virtual Networks, VPNs, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, and Application Gateways.

- Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.

- Establish CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

- Define disaster recovery, backup, monitoring, and observability strategies.

- Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and performance optimization exercises.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineers and development teams.

- Stay updated with Azure innovations and recommend new technologies to improve business outcomes.

- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services :

i. Azure Virtual Machines

ii. Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

iii. Azure App Services

iv. Azure Functions

v. Azure Storage

vi. Azure SQL Database

vii. Azure Cosmos DB

viii. Azure API Management

ix. Azure Networking Services

- Deep understanding of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

- Experience with Azure Active Directory, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Zero Trust Security.

- Strong knowledge of Azure security, governance, compliance, and cost optimization.

- Hands-on experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep, or other IaC tools.

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps methodologies, and automation.

- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.

- Familiarity with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud architectures.

Experience Requirements :

- 10+ years of overall IT experience.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions.

- Proven experience in large-scale cloud migration and modernization projects.

- Experience leading architecture discussions and enterprise cloud adoption initiatives.

- Experience working with Agile and DevOps environments.

Preferred Certifications :

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)

- Terraform Associate Certification

- Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) Certification

Nice to Have :

- Experience with AI/ML services on Azure.

- Exposure to Data Engineering platforms such as Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric.

- Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization initiatives.

- Multi-cloud exposure (AWS/GCP).
