Job Title : Data Engineer (Snowflake & dbt/Matillion Specialist)

Location : Hyderabad (On-site, 5 Days/Week)

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Data Engineer to join our growing Data Engineering team. You will be instrumental in ingesting, transforming, and delivering high-quality data to enable data-driven decision-making for our clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a consulting environment, enjoys solving complex data challenges, and is proficient in building scalable, high-performance data transformation pipelines.

Mandatory Technical Requirements :

- Snowflake : Proven expertise in warehouse sizing, query profiling, data loading, and performance optimization.

- Transformation Tools : Strong hands-on experience with dbt or Matillion (Matillion-DPC is highly preferred).

- ETL/ELT : Must have experience with SSIS alongside a deep understanding of modern ELT patterns and principles.

- SQL & Modeling : Expert-level SQL skills for data transformation and performance tuning, with a strong understanding of data modeling (Kimball/Dimensional preferred).

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable ELT pipelines using dbt on Snowflake, adhering to industry best practices.

- Build and maintain robust ingestion pipelines from relational databases, APIs, cloud storage, and flat files.

- Develop layered data architectures (e.g., staging, intermediate, and mart layers) to ensure reliable and reusable data assets.

- Leverage orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt Cloud, or Azure Data Factory) to schedule and monitor complex workflows.

- Apply CI/CD and Git-based workflows for version-controlled, automated deployments.

- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and architects to deliver clean, validated datasets.

- Support consulting engagements through clear documentation, client-ready demos, and high-quality solution delivery.

Core Competencies :

- Cloud Data Platforms : Experience working with cloud storage (Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, or GCS) for ingestion and external stages.

- Development Tools : Python proficiency for automation and notebook development.

- Security & Governance : Understanding of Snowflake RBAC, role hierarchies, and data privacy policies (e.g., GDPR basics).

- Soft Skills : Strong communication skills with the ability to present solutions to clients; experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
