Network Engineer - LAN/SDWAN

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with 7 to 10 years of expertise in LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and Firewall technologies.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing Level 3 (L3) support, managing enterprise network infrastructure, troubleshooting complex network issues, and ensuring the availability, security, and performance of network services.

This role requires strong hands-on experience in network operations, firewall administration, incident resolution, and infrastructure optimization within large-scale enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide Level 3 (L3) support for enterprise LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN environments.

- Manage, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance.

- Administer and support firewall platforms, including policy management, rule optimization, and security compliance.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, connectivity, routing, switching, and security-related issues.

- Perform root cause analysis for critical incidents and implement preventive measures.

- Support network design, implementation, upgrades, and infrastructure enhancement initiatives.

- Monitor network performance and proactively identify capacity, reliability, and security concerns.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve infrastructure issues.

- Ensure adherence to network security standards, governance policies, and operational procedures.

- Maintain network documentation, configurations, topology diagrams, and support records.

- Participate in change management, patching, maintenance activities, and disaster recovery planning.

- Provide technical guidance and support during major incidents, escalations, and production outages.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7 to 10 years of experience in Network Engineering, Network Operations, or Infrastructure Support.

- Strong hands-on experience with LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN technologies.

- Extensive experience providing L3 support for enterprise network environments.

- Strong expertise in firewall administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and policy management.

- Deep understanding of routing and switching protocols.

- Experience troubleshooting complex network performance, connectivity, and security issues.

- Knowledge of network monitoring, diagnostics, and performance management tools.

- Experience with incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis.

- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.

- Experience working in enterprise-scale, multi-site network environments.

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
