Data Architect - Medallion Architecture

About the Role :

We are looking for a strong Data Architect with deep expertise in AWS-based analytics platforms, Medallion Architecture, and large-scale enterprise data transformation programs.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building scalable data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud-native analytics solutions using Snowflake or Databricks.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and own end-to-end data architecture across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers

- Build scalable star schema data models across multiple business domains

- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, Spark/PySpark, SQL, and AWS services

- Build and maintain data pipelines on Snowflake or Databricks

- Ensure data quality, reconciliation, validation, and governance across data layers

- Translate business requirements into scalable technical data models

- Define data modelling standards, naming conventions, and design patterns

- Lead end-to-end SDLC from requirement gathering to deployment and support

- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver trusted data solutions

- Track execution, dependencies, and delivery milestones across projects

Required Skills & Experience:

- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Architecture

- Strong hands-on experience with Medallion Architecture on AWS

- Expertise in Snowflake or Databricks

- Advanced SQL skills including query optimization and performance tuning

- Strong experience with Python, Spark, and PySpark

- Experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, and Athena

- Hands-on experience building enterprise-scale ETL/ELT pipelines

- Experience working with Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Customer, or Operations datasets

- Strong stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills

Good to Have :

- Experience with SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or enterprise ERP systems

- Familiarity with APQC, SCOR, or enterprise process modelling frameworks
