Position : Manager – Forensics & Dispute Advisory
Location : Mumbai
Reports To : Manager / Associate Director – Forensic Services
Experience : 5–6 years in forensic investigations, fraud audits, dispute advisory, or internal audit Role Summary :
The Manager will lead and support engagements involving fraud investigations, forensic audits, and dispute advisory. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, experience with complex data, solid understanding of investigative methodologies, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple client assignments and teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Investigation & Advisory Delivery
- Lead and execute forensic investigations, including financial statement fraud, employee misconduct, bribery / corruption, and asset misappropriation.
- Perform forensic audits, fraud analytics, background checks, vendor due diligence, and financial profiling.
- Identify fraud indicators through analysis of transactions, documents, emails, and interviews.
- Support dispute advisory mandates, including damage quantification, contract claim analysis, and litigation assistance.
- Develop engagement strategy, plan resources, and ensure execution aligned with scope and objectives.
- Leverage technology and analytics tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of investigations.
2. Client & Stakeholder Management
Manage day-to-day client communication, scoping discussions, and presentations of findings.Deliver reports and work products in line with engagement terms and firm quality standards.Maintain confidentiality, objectivity, and compliance with risk management practices.Review workpapers and deliverables, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to solution development.Track engagement budgets and support the preparation of proposals, marketing materials, and methodologies.3. Team & Project Management
Supervise, mentor, and guide junior team members; review their work and support skill development.Ensure adherence to engagement timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, digital forensics, compliance) to deliver integrated solutions.Promote knowledge sharing and contribute to process improvements within the practice.4. Technical & Documentation Skills
Prepare clear, well-structured investigation reports, summaries, exhibits, and client deliverables.Maintain accurate documentation and audit trail of procedures performed, in line with firm policies and best practices.5. Regulatory & Risk Awareness
Stay updated on relevant laws, regulatory frameworks, and emerging forensic trends.Apply legal and industry knowledge to strengthen the effectiveness and defensibility of investigations.Qualifications & Skills :

CA or equivalent qualificationCFE certification is an advantageExperience
5–6 years of relevant experience in forensic investigations, fraud risk assessments, or dispute advisoryPrior experience in a Big 4, consulting firm, or specialized forensic practice is preferred Technical SkillsStrong forensic accounting and analytical skillsProficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools (IDEA, ACL, SQL, Power BI)Familiarity with e-discovery and forensic tools (Intella, Relativity, EnCase) is a plus
