Role Summary :
The Head of the Department (Psychology) will be responsible for academic planning, faculty mentoring, research promotion, curriculum enhancement, and administrative efficiency. This leadership role will ensure the department achieves excellence in teaching, research, and student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide academic leadership and vision to the Psychology department.
- Mentor and manage faculty to enhance teaching quality and research productivity.
- Develop and periodically update the curriculum to align with industry and academic standards.
- Coordinate with the university’s academic bodies for Board of Studies, syllabus design, and evaluation reforms.
- Foster a vibrant research culture with active participation in publications, projects, and conferences.
- Organize departmental events such as seminars, symposiums, student workshops, and awareness drives.
- Promote student support services, counselling, and engagement programs.
- Collaborate with other institutions and industry for joint research or training opportunities.
- Ensure smooth administrative operations and maintain academic discipline.
- Represent the department in institutional development initiatives.
Experience : Minimum 12 years of teaching & research experience with prior academic leadership preferred.
Qualification : Ph.D. in Psychology (Mandatory)
