Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SAP BASIS Architect with 15+ years of expertise in SAP system administration, architecture design, migration, performance optimization, and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust SAP landscapes while ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and operational excellence across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect SAP landscapes including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, PO/PI, Fiori, and other SAP applications.
  • Lead SAP BASIS administration activities including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, refreshes, and migrations.
  • Architect and manage SAP HANA databases and related infrastructure components.
  • Plan and execute SAP system migrations including OS/DB migrations, cloud migrations, and S/4HANA transformation projects.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery configurations for mission-critical SAP environments.
  • Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and tuning to optimize SAP application performance.
  • Implement SAP security standards, user administration, audit compliance, and governance policies.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, cloud, security, and application teams for integrated enterprise solutions.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex SAP BASIS and infrastructure issues.
  • Manage SAP transport management system (TMS) and change management activities.
  • Drive automation initiatives for SAP administration and monitoring activities.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to BASIS administrators and support teams.
  • Coordinate with SAP vendors and stakeholders for issue resolution and project delivery.
  • Support cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for SAP hosting environments.
  • Ensure documentation of architecture, configurations, operational procedures, and disaster recovery plans.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Strong expertise in SAP BASIS administration and architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA database administration.
  • Experience in SAP system installation, upgrades, Unicode conversion, and migration projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
  • Expertise in SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, and monitoring tools.
  • Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori, Web Dispatcher, SAP Router, and Gateway configurations.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) for SAP workloads.
  • Strong understanding of SAP security concepts and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting tools such as Shell scripting, Python, or Ansible.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP BASIS/HANA Certification preferred.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise SAP transformation projects.
  • Exposure to DevOps methodologies and automation frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
