Role Overview
As an Outbound Leader , you will own and scale Astra’s outbound engine. You will lead a team of BDRs responsible for generating high-quality pipelines for the sales team, while also driving strategy, messaging, and execution of outbound motions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, and manage a team of BDRs focused on outbound pipeline generation
- Own top-of-funnel pipeline targets including meetings booked, SQLs generated, and pipeline value
- Design and execute outbound strategies including cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and account-based prospecting
- Build and refine Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and target account lists across SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise segments
- Work closely with Account Executives to ensure high-quality handoff and pipeline conversion
- Partner with Marketing to align on campaigns, messaging, and MQL to SQL conversion
- Monitor and improve outbound performance metrics including conversion rates, reply rates, and meeting quality
- Coach BDRs on discovery, objection handling, personalization, and outbound best practices
- Continuously experiment with messaging, sequencing, and tools to improve pipeline generation efficiency
- Ensure CRM hygiene, reporting accuracy, and pipeline visibility in HubSpot
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in B2B SaaS sales, with managing BDR/SDR teams
- Proven track record of building and scaling outbound pipeline
- Strong expertise in cold outreach and outbound playbook design
- Experience working with mid-market and enterprise segments
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, DevOps, or developer-focused products is a strong plus
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to track, measure, and optimize funnel metrics
- Experience with tools like HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, etc.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
