About the Role We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer / Assistant Manager to lead the design and development of Power Distribution Units (PDU), Cabinets, and Box Build solutions for Industrial, Aerospace, and Defence applications. This role requires strong expertise in low-power switchgear design, system integration, and compliance with global standards. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop low-power switchgear and control gear systems aligned with industry standards - Create detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and system specifications - Perform component selection based on system requirements - Conduct load flow analysis, power budget calculations, and thermal analysis - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Electrical, Mechanical, Automation) for system integration - Ensure compliance with standards such as IEC 61439, ANSI, UL and aerospace standards like MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461G - Develop technical documentation including design specs, test plans, and certification reports - Perform EMI/EMC, thermal, and stress analysis to ensure system performance and durability - Support Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and qualification testing - Work closely with manufacturing teams for design feasibility and production readiness - Implement relay coordination, motor protection schemes, and industrial communication protocols Required Qualifications - Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field) - Hands-on experience in switchgear design, control panels, and system integration - Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, SolidWorks, or CATIA Electrical - Strong understanding of electrical protection systems, circuit breakers, and contactors - Experience in thermal management, derating, and maintainability analysis - Exposure to aircraft systems / LRU design - Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Preferred Skills - Familiarity with IEC 61439, NEMA, UL standards - Experience in PLC-based control systems and automation - Knowledge of PCB design and electrical integration - Understanding of failure analysis and reliability engineering Why Join Us? - Opportunity to work on cutting-edge Aerospace & Defence projects - Exposure to advanced engineering and global standards - Collaborative and innovation-driven work environment
