Salesforce DevOps Engineer

Job Title: DevOps Engineer – Salesforce Focus // Salesforce DevOps Engineer

Work Location: Pune -Hybrid

Devops – Expertise in big bucket, git hub, Jenkins tool, salesforce experience is must. Combination of devOps + admin that is ideal but we are also looking for an element of salesforce experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Salesforce deployments across development, QA, staging, and production environments in Agile/Scrum settings.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Git and TeamCity.
• Utilize Salesforce DX (SFDX) CLI for source-driven development and metadata deployments.
• Manage version control, branching strategies, and release cycles.
• Handle sandbox provisioning, data seeding, and environment refreshes.
• Define and implement DevOps processes and automation for improved deployment efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with developers, admins, testers, and release managers to ensure deployment readiness.
• Maintain and manage backup strategies and rollback plans for Salesforce metadata and data.
• Provide technical expertise in resolving deployment-related issues, and work with stakeholders to drive root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Salesforce security and governance standards.
• Troubleshooting the application from Salesforce Admin.

Must-Have Skills

• hands-on experience with Salesforce Administration & DevOps, including release management, CI/CD, and environment management.
• Strong understanding of SFDX CLI and source/metadata formats.
• Working Experience with CI/CD tools like Copado, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git.
• Strong understanding of branching and deployment strategies (feature branching, Git Flow, etc.).
• Understanding of DevSecOps – Static Application Security Testing (SonarQube or similar tool)
• Salesforce Sandbox Management, including seeding and refresh strategy.
• Salesforce Security model understanding profiles, permission sets, OWD, role hierarchy, and sharing settings.
• Salesforce.com Certification (Administrator, Platform App Builder or Platform Developer I minimum).
• Experience with declarative tools development: Flows, Reports & Dashboards.
• Understanding of Apex, Visualforce, LWC, and JavaScript within the Salesforce platform.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Min 1 year Health Cloud Experience
• Experience with Salesforce backup solutions (OwnBackup, Spanning, etc.).
• Scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation.
• Experience in monitoring and alerting tools for Salesforce environments.
• Platform Developer II or Architect certifications.
• Experience with third-party Salesforce DevOps tools.
• Knowledge of Salesforce limits and best practices to optimize performance on a scale.
• Experience working with external systems via APIs and Salesforce integrations.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
