We are looking for a Senior US Tax Review Manager to own the accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance of US federal and state tax filings. This role sits at the intersection of technical excellence, risk management, and team enablement, acting as the final checkpoint before returns are filed.

You will work closely with tax preparers and stakeholder teams to ensure every return meets IRS requirements, firm standards, and client expectations—while also strengthening review processes and knowledge quality across the organization.

What You'll Be Responsible For
End-to-End Tax Review Ownership
Conduct comprehensive reviews of US individual and business tax returns prior to filing.

Review federal filings for individuals, partnerships, C-corps, and S-corps.

Validate state and local tax filings across multiple jurisdictions for accuracy and completeness.

Ensure correct treatment of deductions, credits, elections, disclosures, and carryforwards.

Identify technical errors, inconsistencies, and potential compliance exposure early.

Technical Leadership & Reviewer Guidance
Provide structured, actionable feedback to tax preparers to resolve review comments efficiently.

Support resolution of complex tax scenarios and judgment-based positions.

Perform targeted tax research and document conclusions for internal reference and consistency.

Act as a subject-matter guide on IRS regulations and filing best practices.

Quality Governance & Risk Control
Ensure workpapers and documentation are audit-ready and compliant with internal standards.

Maintain high review quality during peak tax seasons while managing multiple deliverables.

Partner with onshore or client-facing teams to close review queries within timelines.

Strengthen review checklists, quality controls, and internal benchmarks.

Process Improvement & Knowledge Sharing
Identify recurring quality gaps and recommend preventive improvements.

Support training initiatives by sharing common review findings and technical insights.

Contribute to building scalable, repeatable review processes across teams.

What Will Help You Succeed
Experience & Expertise
Strong hands-on experience reviewing US individual and business tax returns.

In-depth knowledge of US federal and state tax regulations.

Proven ability to detect compliance risks and optimization opportunities.

Experience working in CPA firms, tax advisory practices, or US tax outsourcing models.

Skills & Attributes
High attention to detail with strong analytical and documentation skills.

Clear written and verbal communication for reviewer feedback.

Ability to manage pressure, deadlines, and volume during peak filing periods.

Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Credentials (Preferred, Not Mandatory)
EA, CPA, or equivalent US tax credential is a plus.
